Physical description: Tall for an Asian (176cm) and plump, or as she puts it, well nourished. She's a biohacker who's pretty extreme when modding his body with tech. She's replaced one eye with an electronic one that is essentially a computer connected to the intergalactic web, has a plug in the back of her head to jack directly into external systems, chips in her hands to 'type', lights embedded into the back of her hands. Programmable button on her wrist that can only be triggered by her finger (scans for biosignature). Everything is controlled from the eye.
Background: Miranda grew up on a mining colony in an asteroid belt in the Kamalan galaxy. Her family's always been miners. She was born and raised on the belt, and was fascinated by explosives (and fire, and things that burn) from a young age. She became an explosives expert for the mines, and learnt of biohacking while looking for new ways to remotely detonate explosives. (KABOOOOM)
She taught herself to hack machines starting with mining gear (she really, really wanted to try blowing up some of the fuel tankers) and progressing to the ships coming to the mines (which she wisely refrained from exploding). Took hacking jobs on the side to pay for new implants (they're BMW expensive). Got offered a lucrative contract to steal top secret IP from a major spaceship corporation from a rival company, but things went south when she blew up her escape vessel to cover her tracks... one of her employer's newest state-of-the-art vessels. They were pissed. Oh and she also didn't get one document that would have tied the rest together so that was a bust. She's currently on the run from their goons after fleeing the remains of their ship.
Personality: Can come up with a way to blow up or burn just about anything.
Calm under pressure and able to pull up just about any info she needs immediately, but gets serious withdrawal symptoms if not connected to the intergalactic web. Irritable, twitchy, generally useless. Can acquire just about anything thanks to the Darknet.
Trusts a little too easily, has a "everything will work out in the end" happy-go-lucky attitude that doesn't quite pan out a lot of the time, but oh well.
Why she wants the supercomputer: Darknet rumours have it that the supercomputer has advanced tech no one has ever seen before. If she can steal the supercomputer, she can wipe all traces of herself and her identity from all existing databases and get the corporation off her back. Money to buy many explosives and abandoned planets she can try to asplode in one go is a nice bonus.
